Description

Rustic outdoor scene with a young couple in traditional Vendée attire, the man in a jacket and hat, the woman in a long dress and white headdress. Printed text at the bottom: « Y l'avo fait passer une nouvelle peur que t'vais-je anelt' pass' qui t'avo chuché chose à l'dire... » and « Aux Marais Vendéens — Le Maraichinage ». On the reverse, handwritten address to Michel, Café du Commerce, Saint-Martin-sur-Loire, with a postmark and cancellation from Roches-sur-Loire (Vendée) dated 22 September 1908.
