Description

Black and white portrait of a couple in traditional Alsatian attire, the woman wearing a decorated cap and a dotted dress, the man a fur hat and a dark suit. On the reverse, printed text 'Trachtien aus dem Unterelsass', handwritten correspondence addressed to 'Fraulein Magdalena' in Magdeburg, with a green 20 pfennig stamp canceled 'UNTERMELDEN' and date 29.08.1917.
