Portrait of an elderly woman in traditional Savoyard costume, wearing a white veil, a dark dress with a high collar and a pectoral cross, holding a closed umbrella and a woven basket. The printed text indicates « 11. - Costumes of Savoy (Grésy-sur-Isère) » and mentions the publisher « Phot. Peda ». The reverse has a handwritten letter dated 3 April, addressed to « Dear little Marie », with a cancellation « GOURDON » and a postage stamp.
