Description

Woman in traditional attire from the Velay, wearing a flowered bonnet, knitting a lace pattern on a stool. Printed text at the top: 'The Lace Maker with Flat Cap' and 'With ribbon and bow neatly placed to one side and preceded by a row of pins'. Green 5-centime stamp of the French Republic, postmarked. Reverse: handwritten address to 'Monsieur Léon Roux, 6th Artillery, Valence, Rhône', and mention 'Collection MARGERIT-BREMOND, publisher of Velay postcards, Le Puy (H.-L.)'.
