Portrait of a Breton woman in prayer, wearing a traditional lace headpiece and embroidered white collar, hands joined. Printed text at the bottom: « 1202. In Prayer - Study of Breton Headwear ». On the reverse, handwritten correspondence in Breton addressed to Monsieur Pirmogat in Charente, with a French postage stamp from 1885 and a cancellation from Saint-Nazaire (Loire) dated 8 May 1885.
