Description

Street scene with a woman in traditional costume holding an overturned bicycle, a man in sailor's uniform, and two young girls in costume, in front of a wooden bridge. Printed text at the bottom: '2548. - The Bicycle Lesson (6) ... completely confused, swearing, but a bit late, that they would not do it again.' Reverse: handwritten text from a letter dated the 30th, addressed to a recipient in Debour, with a mention of 'the circumstance' and 'the happiness of seeing'; stamp and cancellation unreadable.
