Young Auvergne woman in traditional costume, sitting on a stone wall, holding a soup in a bowl and a spoon, with a stick beside her. Printed text at the top: 'Picturesque Auvergne'. On the reverse, handwritten correspondence to Madame E. Michel, 65 rue du Marais, Paris, with a 10-centime French postage stamp and a Clermont-Ferrand cancellation from 12 April 1908.
