Description

Humorous scene showing a man in traditional Falaise costume handing a lantern to a soldier in uniform. The printed text at the bottom repeats the conversation: « Gas d’Falaise ! ta lantern’... — La y’la ? — Et ta candell’ ? — No p’d’a ! ». On the reverse, a 10 centimes postage stamp of the French Republic, postmark of Le Havre from June 2nd, 1913, and handwritten correspondence addressed to Monsieur Subram, Commandant des Mégas, in Croisant-Boutigny, with signature of J. Werbin.
