Subject: woman in a Sablaise fisher costume, holding a basket and waving with a handkerchief. Printed text at the top: 'The Farewell of the Sablaise'. Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated January 1913, addressed to 'Mademoiselle Valentine Lepeau' in Bordeaux, with a postmark and stamp of 'Les Sables-d'Olonne'.
