Illustration of a Breton couple in traditional costume, the man holding a spindle, the woman at a farmstead. Printed text at the bottom: 'BRITTANY (Collection E. Hamonic) 204.- Mr and Mrs Botrel - The Spindle'. Reverse: handwritten letter dated 14 July 1901, sent from Saint-Quay-Portrieux, signed by Lucie Granjon, addressed to 'Dear Miss'. Postal stamp 'UNION POSTALE UNIVERSELLE' and postmark 'UNVANIEZ POST AR BÉD' visible.
