Five women gather herbs in a gently sloping field, under a cloudy sky, wearing traditional attire with hats. The back has handwritten text dated March 9, addressed to a sister in Joccalquier, mentioning the sending of news and the anticipation of a visit. The stamp and cancellation are visible at the top left.
