Portrait of a woman in traditional Lorraine costume, wearing a white bonnet adorned with an emblem, and dressed in a dark dress with white collar and sleeves. On the reverse, handwritten address to Monsieur E. Bodin in Marseille, a 25 pfennig German postage stamp dated 29.5.02, postal mark of Bolchen (Lorraine), and the note 'DRUCKSACHE'.
