Description

Black-and-white portrait of a couple dressed in traditional French costumes, dated 1518, with a handwritten inscription 'Costume Project' on the left side. The reverse features a handwritten address to 'M. Medemousses de Saulnier, Villa des Olgnes, St Aubin-s-Mer (Calvados)' and a 1894 postage stamp canceled in 'UBIN' on September 29, 1894.
