Description

Illustrated postcard depicting a woman wearing a traditional Norman headdress, with printed text mentioning the ancient fortified town of Caudebec-en-Caux, capital of the Caux region, captured by the English in 1419 and by the Protestants in 1562. Reverse: handwritten address to Madame Claire Badeaus in Badeaus, with note of correspondence on the front and a 15-centime postmark canceled in Lignan.
