Description

Portrait of a woman wearing a traditional Norman coiffe and embroidered clothing, illustrating the local customs of Pont-L'Évêque, one of the most fertile areas in Normandy. The reverse bears a handwritten address to Alexandria, Egypt, with a French postmark from 1905 and a stamp from Luc-Saint-Évroult.
