Village scene with a charlatan in a red costume manipulating an object in front of a group of villagers in front of a stone house with thatched roof. Printed text at the bottom: 'A Charlatan in the Village'. Back: green 5-centime stamp, postmark cancellation from Banyuls-sur-Mer dated 8 October 1908, handwritten address to Marseille, and printed text 'All foreign countries do not accept correspondence from the front, inquire at the Post Office'.
