Postcard showing the commemorative monument in the forest of Compiègne, erected in 1918 for the soldiers of France, Alsace, and Lorraine. The work of sculptor Edgar Brandt is adorned with a bird sculpture and a central stained-glass window. The reverse indicates the publisher Elie Bourson, the mention 'Monument offered by Le Matin', and a partially visible postmark from the city of Compiègne dated November 11, 1918.
