Commemorative postcard of the Armistice Meadow in Compiègne, showing the central slab designed by Mages. The raised inscription on the slab proclaims: 'HERE ON NOVEMBER 11, 1918, THE CRIMINAL PRIDE OF THE GERMAN EMPIRE WAS DEFEATED AND THE FREEDOMS IT PRETENDED TO SUBSERVE WERE RESTORED.' The back indicates the publisher 'Edition d'Art de la librairie Moderne Compiègne' and a postmark from Compiègne dated November 11, 1918.
