Description

Commemorative monument of the 1918 Armistice, located in the Forest of Compiègne, with a sculpture of a bird in flight at the base of the pedestal. The inscription at the top of the monument reads "11 NOVEMBER 1918" and at the bottom "TO THE HEROIC SOLDIERS OF FRANCE DEFENDERS OF THE PATRIE AND JUSTICE". The reverse indicates the publisher "Edit. Bourson, Compiègne" and mentions the artist Edgar Brandt.
