Description

Black and white view of the Saint-Pierre ponds in the Forest of Compiègne, with a small building by the water and reeds in the foreground. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated August 23rd, 1939, addressed to 'Dear Louise', signed 'M. Muller de La Source', with a postmark and a Compiègne cancellation.
