Postcard showing the Armistice Monument in Compiègne, with the inscription « Here, on November 11, 1918, the criminal pride of the German Empire succumbed, defeated by the free peoples it claimed to enslave ». On the reverse, a 10-centime French postage stamp, a postmark from the monument, and a handwritten address to Madame Bancelle in Veillers sous Saint-Leu, with a letter-style handwriting.
