Black and white view of a stone staircase leading to a tower in the Forest of Fontainebleau, surrounded by trees. The reverse has a handwritten letter dated September 8, 1919, addressed to 'My dear Emilie,' mentioning a trip and a convalescence. The stamp and postmark are illegible.
