Description

Postcard showing an oval portrait of François-Zacharie ROUSSIN, chemist and professor, with a description on the reverse about his career: graduated in 1853, he became director of the Central Pharmacy in Lyon, and later devoted himself to scientific and industrial work, notably the discovery of glycyrrhizine and naphthazarine. A monument was erected in his honor in Rennes. The text is partially illegible.
