Illustration of the salon at Hotel Schwan in Frankfurt am Main where the peace treaty of May 10, 1871 was signed, with the names of the main participants (Graf Hermann von Arnim, Graf Harry von Arnim, Fürst Bismarck, Jules Favre, etc.) inscribed at the bottom. The reverse features a handwritten note dated 1870 describing the scene as impressive and mentioning the table used at that time.
