Black and white panoramic view of the village of Gavarnie nestled in a mountainous cirque, with scattered houses in the foreground and snow-capped peaks in the background. On the back, a postcard sent from Gavarnie on June 13, 1945, with an 8-franc blue stamp, handwritten signature 'Germaine', and an address to Lyon (England).
