Lively view of a crowded beach in Broadstairs, with bathers and boats at the harbor. The printed text at the bottom indicates 'GENERAL VIEW OF HARBOUR & SANDS, BROADSTAIRS'. On the reverse, a handwritten French address to 'Monsieur Philippe Tarper' in Paris, with a blue 2½ pence stamp and a cancellation stamp 'COLAIS' dated 14 May 1915.
