Black and white view of a corner of the Ballastière in Gisors (Eure), with boats on the water and a wooded shore. The reverse features a handwritten note dated 3 June 1939, addressed to Monsieur Roger Théveneau in Paris, with a violet 40-centime stamp and a postmark from Gisors.
