Black and white view of the Chailles Gorges, showing a winding road crossing a canyon with steep, wooded cliffs. Printed text at the bottom: 'GORGES DE CHAILLES — LA ROUTE DANS LES GORGES'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 7/8/47 sent to Mr. and Mrs. J. Bernier in Paris, with a 5 franc stamp and a Vézelay postmark.
