Black and white panoramic view of the Grande-Chartreuse monastery nestled in a wooded mountainous landscape. Printed text at the bottom of the image identifies the location and view. Reverse: French 25 centimes stamp from 1923, cancellation 'AIX-EN-PROVENCE', handwritten address to 'Monsieur et Madame Dessac, 30 rue du Creuil, Saint-Etienne, Loire', and handwritten message 'Mon meilleur souvenir'.
