Description

Black-and-white panoramic view of the Grande-Chartreuse convent, nestled at the foot of steep, wooded mountains. The printed text at the bottom reads '541 GRANDE-CHARTREUSE (Isère) General View of the Convent'. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to Madame G. Boissat and Jean in Bois-Colombes (Seine), with a 12-centime postmark and a Lyon-De-Beauregard (Isère) cancellation from July 30, 1930.
