Description

View of the Grottes de Saint-Mansuy, a natural sanctuary carved into a cliff, where a statue of the Virgin Mary is nestled in a niche. Devotees are seated on wooden benches in front of a small interior chapel. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Émile Knefft in Paris, dated January 11, 1904, and a postmark cancellation.
