Description

View of the Porte Saint-Michel in Guérande, built by Jean V, Duke of Brittany, with its towers recently restored to serve as town hall and prison. Above the gate, a large cartouche displays the coat of arms of Guérande: a silver escutcheon with ermine spots supported by crowned lions. Reverse: postcard published by F. Chapeau, Nantes, with space for address.
