View of Pointe de Plémont on Guernsey, with steep rocks bordering the sea and islands in the distance. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 9 October 1919, sent from Cherbourg to 'Mes chers Parents', mentioning a visit to the sender's family in Paris and a letter received from his son. A postmark is affixed at the bottom right, with partial cancellation.
