Description

Illustration of the astronomical clock in Besançon, designed by A.L. Vérité (1858-1860) and reorganized in 1900 by Florian Goudéy, a watchmaker from Beauvais. It contains 30,000 mechanical parts and 70 dials. Reverse: postcard sent on August 2, 1936 from Vichy to Michael Schmidt in Steinbach, with a 20-centime postage stamp and a Vichy postmark.
