Description

Postcard illustrating the Saint-Jean astronomical clock in Besançon, commissioned by Cardinal Mathieu and executed by M. Verité, with 30,000 mechanical parts and 72 dials. Printed text mentions its reorganization by M. Florin Goudey. Reverse: handwritten date of 19.8.1923, sent to Mademoiselle Boury in Besançon, with stamps and postmarks.
