Description

Sepia-toned view of the monumental entrance of the City Hall of Angoulême, with its pointed arches, columns, and an ornate wrought-iron gate. The reverse indicates that the building is a sumptuous pointed-arch structure erected on the site of the former Counts of Angoulême castle, whose two most beautiful towers are visible in the modern buildings.
