Description

Black and white view of the Palace of Westminster in London, with the Big Ben tower prominent, dated around 1949. The reverse has a printed inscription describing the building as a « noble residence » in late Gothic style, designed by Sir Charles Barry. The address is intended for Madame D. Segour, in Camps aux (Calvados, France), with a 2d Queen Elizabeth II stamp cancelled in London on 25 July 1949.
