Description

Fairy tale scene in period costume: a man in an 18th-century military uniform offers a chair to a seated woman, dressed in a floral dress and wearing a large hat. Printed text: « A chair?... Sit down, my dear, and I will tell you a gentle story about the Handsome Prince. » Reverse: handwritten address to Mademoiselle Pauline Ordoin in Nice, green 9-centime stamp, postmark from Marseille dated April 30, 1902.
