Printed text in French and English: « Deux billets, s.v.p., pour un endroit tranquille. » / « Two, to a quiet spot. » The reverse contains a handwritten letter to Madame Madel, a cancellation mark, and a 1 franc 15 centimes French postage stamp dated 1916.
