Description

Norwegian patriotic illustration dated 1814, showing a soldier in uniform shaking hands with an old man in front of a cabin, under a tree, with a woman in the background. The Norwegian text above says: 'For what the fathers fought, the mothers suffered'. The reverse has handwritten French text addressed to 'Madame Rochefort' in Marseille, with a note of 'Everything for Peace'.
