Stylized Japanese illustration of Mount Fuji under a red sky, surrounded by blooming cherry branches. Calligraphed Japanese text (« 恭賀新喜 ») means 'Congratulations for the New Year'. On the reverse, handwritten address to Colonel and Madame de Baronne Corvisart in Annecy, with a violet stamp and Japanese postmark.
