Color illustration of a medieval battle scene with armored knights and a tented setting under a tree. Reverse: printed text stating '7th TABLEAU — After the victory of Patay (29 June). Historical costumes of crossbowmen and knights wearing armor'. Handwritten correspondence to Monsieur Alphonse Blanc, addressed to Bordighera. French Republic 5-franc postage stamp, postmark 'BORDIGHERA 5 29 99'.
