Black and white engraved portrait of the Duke of Marlborough, framed with laurels, with inscription 'JOHN Duke of Marlborough' and text at the bottom: 'Born in Ash, in 1650, died in 1722. Famous English general, victor at Hochstedt, Ramillies and Malplaquet. His name became legendary thanks to the burlesque song of which he is the hero, under the distorted name of Malbrough.'
