Description

Postcard showing the Saint-Jacques Gate of Joigny, a fortified structure with two round towers and an arched passage, dating from the Renaissance. The printed text describes its history, mentioning its construction in 1530 and its destruction by fire in 1530, followed by its reconstruction in the 17th century. On the reverse, there is a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Chlaumay in Le Mans, with a French 10-centime postage stamp and a cancellation from Joigny dated April 21, 1907.
