Description

Cylindrical perfumed vase from the tomb of Tutankhamun, dated 1363–1344 BC, decorated with engraved scenes of lions and dogs. The lid is topped with a recumbent lion, and the base rests on four prisoner heads. Reverse: publisher Eastern Publishing Company, P.O.B. 201, Cairo; descriptive text in English; postage stamp and postmark of type 'HIC' at the top right.
