Description

Black and white postcard depicting the Valley of Chaudefour, with a wild mountainous landscape and a small house in the foreground. Poetic text printed at the top: 'Nature in these places has no sweet grace. It is rough, wild, and in its majesty Scatters rocks across this troubled soil.' The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated 1933, addressed to 'Dear Madame Rault' of Chambon-sur-Lac, mentioning holidays in Revellois and the sending of the card from Chaudefour. Postmark and cancellation not visible.
