View of the Hôtel-Dieu in Caen with its imposing building and characteristic tower overlooking lower buildings and greenhouses in the foreground. Reverse features a handwritten address to Madame Affie Pignament in Sainte-Gauburge (Orne), a note about correspondence, and a postmark from Alençon dated 25 June 1903.
