View of the Cathedral of Reims, whose construction began in 1215 and was completed in 1811, showing the two towers partially destroyed by the bombings of 1914–1918. The reverse bears a handwritten letter dated September 17, 1935, addressed to 'Dear Element,' written in Savigny-lès-Beaune, mentioning holidays and a granddaughter.
