Description

Postcard showing the bridge of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre and the Château de Condé, with a legend in French and English referring to Louis XVI's stop during his return from Varenne. The back contains handwritten correspondence dated August 30, 1916, addressed to Condé, and a postmark with cancellation. A 'TABAC' advertisement panel is visible on a building on the right.
