Description

Panoramic view of the Gerbier des Joncs, a rocky and steep summit of 1554 meters in elevation, with the source of the Loire at the base of the slope. Printed text at the bottom of the front: 'Bizarre gerbe of stones, standing in the heath in its most abrupt and grandiose aspect. Height. 150 m.' Signed 'Léon Margerit' at the bottom right. Back: publisher 'Léon Margerit, Le Puy' with note 'Reprod. interd.' and lines for correspondence.
